At the High School for Dual Language and Asian Studies (HSDLAS), students are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to supporting you academically, socially, and emotionally as you prepare for college and beyond.

Bell Schedule:

Our daily schedule can be found here. Each student’s schedule and starting/ending period can vary depending on their course needs. Note that the conference day schedule occurs on a specified day each month.

Athletics

Our school is part of the Seward Park Campus Athletics Program, which offers many varsity sports teams under PSAL (Public Schools Athletic League). Currently, the following teams are offered:

  • Boys/Girls Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling,
  • Girls Tennis, Table Tennis, Swimming, Softball
  • Boys Bowling, Handball, Soccer ​


To participate, students must tryout for the team in their respective seasons to earn their spot. To tryout, students must complete and submit the following forms to their coaches.

Sophia Gu: Smashing Success On and Off the Court


Sophia Gu, a senior at the High School for Dual Language and Asian Studies, has been honored with the NY1 Scholar Athlete Award for her excellence in both academics and athletics. As captain of the PSAL girls’ varsity badminton team at Seward Park PSAL, Sophia has led her team through multiple playoff runs while maintaining top academic performance. Her strong leadership, discipline, and commitment to community service make her a role model both on and off the court.
